Will people respect my gender identity and pronouns?
-
We have people coming to our conference with various experiences when it comes to diversity in their communities and or workplace. To those individuals, there is a fine line between wanting to learn and being nosey. If you are not sure about a person's gender pronouns, just ask. You can start by letting them know what your gender pronouns are and then ask them for their pronouns. Once they tell you, please don't question them or ask what their sex assigned at birth was. The conference organizers would be more than happy to provide a gender and sexual diversity training prior to coming to the conference. Just let us know.
